Imenco’s Corrosion Protection Solution Enhances Equipment Longevity and asset-life in Brazil’s Campos Basin
Imenco Corrosion Technology (ICT) has successfully completed a significant project delivery to Trident Energy do Brasil in the Campos Basin oilfield in Brazil, specifically at the Bonito (BO) and Enchova Oeste (ENO) sites. ICT here delivered its unique Piranha® Clamp solution for corrosion protection of subsea equipment, which enhances the longevity and asset-life of offshore, subsea equipment, assets, and operations.
The project involved delivery and installation of Imenco’s unique Piranha® Clamp, a robust solution designed to extend the lifespan of subsea equipment by up to 25 years. The clamps provide secure and efficient electrical continuity & connection with anodes. This smart & unique solution promises significant cost savings for the client by prolonging the life of their subsea equipment and potentially delaying costly replacements by at least a decade.
Jeovah Lima and the rest of the Imenco team in Brazil have been in charge of this project and are working to promote the technology and solutions of Imenco in Brazil.
Jeovah Lima comments on the Imenco-delivery to Trident Energy do Brasil:
– This delivery to Trident Energy do Brasil marks Imenco’s third successful corrosion-protection project in Brazil. Since last year (2023), Imenco has been local here in Brasil – with our local company, ‘Imenco do Brasil’ and its main office and facilities located in Macae (Rio des Ostras – ZEN Area). We are very proud to offer and deliver our corrosion-protection solutions here locally in Brasil – helping our customers with safe and cost-effective protection and life-extension of their subsea equipment and assets.
Lima also sees more potential for Imenco in Brazil. – The demand for Imenco’s corrosion-protections solutions is high in Brazil now – since our solutions offer substantial financial & environmental benefits by preventing early equipment failure and replacement. And important to add: We have now established our local supply chain here in Brazil – which adds to our ability to deliver quickly to customers in Brazil. The standard delivery-time of Imenco’s standard corrosion-protection solutions is 8-10 weeks (about 2 and a half months).
Lima believes that the potential for Imenco’s corrosion solutions in Brazil is enormous, given the harsh marine environment, the high corrosion-rates, and the aging infrastructure of oil & gas offshore fields & assets in Brasil. With the ability to retrofit corrosion-protection to all kinds of subsea equipment without the need for extensive offshore planning, Imenco offers versatile and efficient solutions for asset owners.
-As the offshore energy sector in Brazil continues to grow, Imenco’s Smart Solutions stand out as a critical component and enabler to maintain operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness for all asset owners in the region, concludes Imenco’s General Manager in Brasil, Rafael Santello.
