Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer within our Imenco Future Technologies (IFT) division, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring IFT’s products and services continue to exceed customer expectations. This position is full-time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support internal and external audits in line with industry standards and customer requirements
• Supporting the NCR processes, facilitating root cause analysis and developing robust preventative and corrective actions to help maintain impressive Quality performance metrics
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, production, and supply chain to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop, maintain, and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), quality procedures, documentation, and training
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of the manufacturing process
• Develop inspection processes, ensuring that incoming, in-process, and final inspections are performed effectively
• Monitor, analyse, and report on key quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Monitor supplier quality performance

Required Skills

• Proven experience in a quality engineering role with strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis tools and methodologies e.g. 5 Why, 8D.
• Hands-on experience with auditing (internal/external, supplier, or regulatory).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive quality culture across teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Willing to travel
• Full valid UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience or certification
• Defence background would be an advantage
• Knowledge/experience in using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP system in a manufacturing environment
• Lead Audit trained UKAS Certified (Internal/External)
• Electrical /Electronics manufacturing background
