NASDrill RS925 Advanced LBL / SBL acoustic positioning

Combining long baseline (LBL) and short baseline (SBL) positioning for ultra-deepwater drilling vessels

NASDrill RS925 is designed specifically to meet the dynamic positioning (DP) reference requirements of ultra-deepwater drilling vessels by providing independent LBL and multiple SBL outputs to the DP system up to 1Hz.

NASDrill RS925

Introduction

The NASDrill vessel systems are acoustic positioning and tracking systems developed to meet the demanding requirements of the drilling and DP sensor markets.

The systems utilise acoustic digital spread spectrum (ADS2) signalling technology, providing reliable and robust acoustic positioning in deepwater and challenging environments, enabling:

  • Acoustic DP reference
  • Riser angle monitoring
  • Monitoring of ROV activities

At Imenco, we know that the safe operation and reliability of our acoustic positioning products are important to our clients. As a result, we provide vessel system upgrades in order to manage obsolescence and benefit from the latest digital technology.
